CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: |
Often requested by members of
senior management to write proposals and other technical documentation for
program management and engineering personnel. Rewrote the proposal response
guide for a major telecommunications company to follow Shipley's industry-leading
best practices. While contracting to Honeywell Aerospace in South Bend,
Indiana, I was asked to serve on the Communication Plan Team. There, I lead
two sub-committees and head the effort to create their first site-wide
newsletter in more than 10 years. Created new banners designed to blend the
Honeywell Aerospace tagline along with that of the site and individual groups
to show how individuals support the greater good. Organized over 6,000
blueprints and created plant maps. Editor on the proposal team for the
Halifax Shipyard in Nova Scotia, Canada, which captured the $30 billion
contract from the Canadian government. Desktop Publisher for Lockheed
Martin's winning proposal for the 2011 UK Census. Was called back in near the
end of the proposal effort to clean up areas that needed work before it was
to be printed in the UK early the next morning. Had to work with associates
in the UK to ensure the remaining files were complete and correct. Often
commended for my ability to write technical and management proposal sections,
working with subject matter experts to encapsulate their thoughts and plans
while respecting their time. Trained in the Naval Reserve as Training
Coordinator and Platform Instructor. In that role, my unit personnel were so
successful that I was recognized as Reserve Center Sailor of the Year. That
led to my certification as a life coach, helping people to get past their
past issues and free them up for successes only dreamed of previously. |
